Trip down Memory Lane: Carcavelos, Portugal - May 2023

G100 Leadership Summit in Portugal

Last May, I was thrilled to attend and speak at the G100 Leadership Summit in Carcavelos, Portugal. This was the second time that I was fortunate enough to participate in a G100 summit and I am thrilled to say that it was as inspirational and insightful as the first.

I met so many brilliant and incredibly impactful women doing inspiring work in the world, and it brought me so much perspective and growth. Sometimes being a solopreneur can make the world feel like a lonely place, so events like this are a fantastic opportunity to make connections and realise you are not alone! It’s even sweeter when you get to meet with all these fantastic people within the surroundings of beautiful Portugal, too. I believe the more I visit, the more I am falling in love with this stunning country.

In my workshop I got to share all about harnessing the power of EFT tapping every day in your life, thus creating a habit. I introduced my daily soulful journal as a template to be used by women to understand they can take care of themselves in a really easy and quick way every single day. It’s important to carve out time for self-care and tapping is a wonderful way in which to do this.

In the journal you start with your dream or goal for the day and then focus in on what it is that you can do to care for your soul during that day. Next, you pinpoint the non-negotiables from this list that you create. There is then a tracker with 3 lines per day, in which you note down specific things that aid you in working towards your goals. You then refer to this list as you go forward, checking you’ve done each thing on your personal list.

This process culminates in creating your soul tapping setup. You’ve got the dream and you’ve got the goal – for instance you may say, ‘even though I am feeling uncomfortable where I am, I am choosing to honour and respect myself’. Therefore, your dream is to feel comfortable in yourself and your goal is to choose to show yourself kindness that day. Taking the time to sit quietly, even just for a few moments a day, and tap whilst ruminating over your journal, is an excellent way to get to a soul release and soul attraction.

My journal can be found on my website here.

Be Active

20181208_000013.jpg

Hello to All,

How are you feeling this week?

I am sending over to you all the sunshine and positive vibes I can until we meet again.

Now let’s go back on track with the essential part of wellbeing and let’s discuss being active.

I know once more there are many interpretations to this. In my view, being active means putting things in motion.

The motion is in being active!

There are so many ways to incorporate this in your daily routine in order to create your best/happiest and more confident life.

It can take the form of wellness and mindful activities such as spending time doing a meaningful activity that brings you joy, and not necessarily one that requires a lot of energy.

I have so many times heard about the benefit of colouring or doing other crafts like knitting or crocheting, hence why I started the colouring sessions which I hope to start again soon.

My husband developed a daily wellbeing routine by playing the guitar. He started in a bid to learn an instrument and developed it in a mindful routine.

Hal Elrod mentions taking on running same as Alastair Humphreys. Certain I could find more examples to give you.

Sometimes there can be a tendency to think that people always like to be busy therefore having the needs to incorporate hobbies, however it is the creativity of the action that brings satisfaction.

Being active also refers to wanting to surround or should I say immerse oneself with wellness. Creating a self-care routine doesn’t have to costly or time consuming, the effort should not exceed the benefit but complement it.

Colouring or art therapy lift moods, decreases anxiety and stress and will instilled a sense of inner calm and relaxation.

Physical activity of any kind will support a good mental health by reducing stress, anxiety and overall increase our self esteem giving us a clearer mind.

Knitting and crocheting bring you the same benefits as above like reduction of stress, anxiety and depression. It basically has the same effect as meditating. Focusing in the mindful motion of the needles intertwining brings an unrequited bonus by improving our motor skills leading to slowing down the onset of dementia and above all improve your mood.

Finding an activity to do is not difficult, the significance of it is finding peace and happiness within.

Did you think I was going to finish on this? Well, I couldn’t without mentioning my favourite activity.

Journaling!

I can’t stress enough how beneficial putting thoughts to paper is relieving and freeing.

Journaling is a discipline that demonstrate a commo thread between thoughts in your heads and feelings in your body.

I do hope that you find solace in these words.
And if you can and it is fitting that you will take action to be more active.

This is not an exhaustive list, as I could have mentioned way much more, share your version in the comments I’d be happy to read about it.

In this month newsletter, the focus is on supporting amazing small businesses that will help you “Be active”.

Will you be up to it?

See you soon to continue this discussion.

Patience
